Uncle Harrison's Visit

We had a fun week of family this past week.
We saw Walter in Charleston and Harrison came to
Charlotte for a visit. Harrison was loads of fun for
Evan (and the rest of us). They ran around the house
for a loooong time playing cars. Evan was so pleased
to find someone as interested in his cars as he is.

A rare almost still moment:
When that became too tiring they played some blocks.
Evan tried to impress everyone with his
new game which I call "Evan in the box".
Ironic huh?
Then last but certainly not least was "crash".
This was invented by a tired Harrison who
just could not make one more lap around the house
with the walkers. So he "crashed" on the floor...
and a much more restful game was begun!
Thanks for visiting Uncle Harrison!

Solo

From Sunday to Tuesday Evan and I went on a little
trip together to Charleston. Andy was at a conference
in Orlando, and I decided we'd try a little mother son trip.

Here are a few pictures from the trip.
We stopped on the way there at the Riverbanks Zoo
and had a great time.

This was...and is often my view:
Here we are in a park next to our hotel.
Once again, same view:
We went to the SC Aquarium with my brother,
Here is a picture from right outside.
On our first bus ride. Taking the Dash to dinner.

Walter and Evan at the park
We had a great trip and packed it in... my hands
were often too full to get any pictures, but glad
we went and got to see Walter and see some of
Charleston!

I heart Coldplay

Last night Andy and I went with good friends
to see Coldplay live. It was refreshing to have a late
night outseeing one of our favorite bands.
We liked our seats from the start...
but about 1/2 way through the concert,
a guy from the crew put a piano right in front of us!
Which could only mean...our seats just got a whole lot better!
Sure enough, they all four came jogging
over and the entire band jumped up on the stage
directly in front of us only four rows away!
They stayed there and played two songs.
I just kept thinking, "I can see Chris Martin's eyeballs".
It was amazing... what a fun surprise.

Here's a clip Andy got on his phone:
