Abundance...

These are our delightful roses!
They are a complete gift because our next door neighbor Sandi is a
wonderful gardener and she planted them before we moved in.
She has filled her yard, and now our side yard
with these beautiful roses!
These roses are especially happy today, they just soaked up
a heavy rain shower and look very contented.
The rose equivalent of sleeping in on Saturday!

These roses inspire me with their abundance. I have thought a lot about how I want to be as a mother and the word that seems planted in my heart is abundant. I want to be generous in love, compassion, laughter, and wisdom. I've often wondered what God had in mind when He made me... I live each moment with an intensity that can be difficult or delightful (depending on the moment)! I am hopeful that all of this intensity can be a gift to my child and hopefully children...

I hope this will be like me! Overflowing (with the aforementioned qualities...not 15 children...)

Since day one Evan has been fascinated with his daddy.

what a journey we have ahead.

Surprise!

Even Evan is surprised that he is now three months old!
Here was his reaction when I told him, "You're three months old!"
Okay... not really, but I am shocked! The time has flown by...

I just received an email from attention to detail Andy, who noticed that when I post pictures from Picassa the post is listed under his username AMS. You can imagine his concern that our blogreaders would think that he wanted to share his delight in our vibrant orange poppies with the world! HA! So just to clarify, it is me, Ginny, who gets so much joy from those beautiful happy flowers... I'm sure Andy thinks they are just fine.

Delightful Poppies!

Saturday I got the bug to spruce up outside.
I went searching for some nice fresh flowers to brighten our yard.
I was thrilled to see these Poppies...
I was thrilled to see not just any Poppies,
but orange poppies!
I find orange poppies to be the most vibrant and friendly poppies.
They are simply delightful.
Now they are bringing cheer to our back deck.
