Spring for $1.39
I was doing great with my grocery budget and
thought I would treat myself to a little spring for
$1.39 at Trader Joes!

Mountain Time!
with Janelle and JT. It was great to
get out of town... though my image of sitting
on the porch talking while the boys played at
our feet was not altogether accurate!
Here are the few shots I did manage to get of our
fun weekend!
JT and the popular bear.
Evan and the popular bear.Evan climbing up a hill of dirt.
Yes, it came to this! We were just
happy to be outside and not pushing
the buttons to the television...told no touch...
disregarding no touch...being told no touch
and held in place...then melting down.
So... climbing a dirt hill was looking pretty good.
Though they had their moments... Evan
wanting to tackle hug JT and JT wanting
very much not to be tackle hugged by Evan,
we did have some sweet moments too!
Here's one!
Yep, a big smack on the cheek.
(Evan is patting JT's back)
I'm glad they are still friends!

A picture is worth...
They are also deceptive. I thought one rainy day that
Evan would enjoy to learn about crayons and experience
the joy of drawing. Check it out.
time and he was really curious about it. However,
the only thing he was curious about was how the crayons
tasted. To his credit we were in his feeding seat.
Just a little reminder... don't believe everything you see!
But, still cute pictures!

Ode to Blackshot
This one is for Nicole...
I was laying in bed last night giggling to myself remembering when I named my first dog. He was a feisty lovable short haired toy fox terrier... apparently he was a pretty big deal because he came with a long poster sized document detailing his noble dog family history. His ancestors had names such as Winston Wallace III and Sir Charles Huntington for example. After being given the freedom and responsibility to name him... I proudly announced his name... "Blackshot!"
My reasoning for his name was obvious, his coat was mostly black and when he ran he was as fast as a bullet being shot from a gun. I was a very literal girl. Thankfully this name was vitoed as I mentioned in my last post, but unfortunately he lived a long life in which he was called Frisky every day. Frisky and Pixie. My friend Paige always had trouble with those names calling them Frixie and Pisky... it really was a tongue twister... close to a rhyme but not quite.
Whatever he was called he was a good little lovable pet, albeit untrained, and was a fun pet. Though I dare say his ancestors looking down from doggie heaven would be a little disappointed in his name... but possibly jealous of his free little life. Good ole Blackshot. :)
